6th grade

 I am moving to a new school site next school year. Kingston will no longer work for Cinzia because the new location is 20 minutes away.

I submitted two school applications for her this week:

1. Pathways for College - charter school, goes up to 8th grade, starts 8:00 until 3:15, wears uniforms, has free after-school program, less than a mile away, small class sizes, competitive sports programs, evaluation is in July

2. Topaz Elementary - best in Hesperia, wears uniforms, starts 7:30 until 1:47, has limited after-school program space, 5-min drive, Cinzia is prioritized because I am an employee of the district, decision is in April

For high school, I would love Cinzia to be at Loma Linda or La Sierra Academy. Who knows I will find a job down the hill by that time comes... For now, let us hope for the best. For now, let us consider these two options.

School dilemma

It has been a roller coaster ride since the Board of HUSD approved Shadow Ridge's move to the new location on Main Street. This means I have to move Cinzia to a new school because Kingston is 20 minutes out of the way and their current school time starts later. It will not work anymore. I have 6 months to prepare for the big school move.  Topaz. Jeannie highly recommended Topaz, one of the best schools in the district. Even Mr. Skinner has praises for it. The waiting list is long, but Jeannie said I could be placed on top of the list because an employee of the district. It is only up to 6th grade, but most of the 6th graders there go to Hesperia Junior High, a nearby school.
